Our day with Jesus

“We are called to grow in faith in the Risen Jesus, to live in intimate union with Him, to conform ourselves ever more to His Heart” (RV 9).

Faithful to the spiritual roots of the Institute, we commit ourselves to cultivating UNION WITH GOD throughout the day, to be “apostles of his mercy”. The offering of hours is a characteristic of our Congregation. To learn more click here

Here are moments of personal and community prayer that help us live in a spirit of prayer.

OFFERING OF THE DAY

Every morning we renew as a community the gift of ourselves by offering to the Lord everything that the day entails with the sole purpose that the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus reigns in all hearts.

PRAISES

United with the Church, we sanctify the morning time with the celebration of praises. As Saint Basil the Great said, this time “is made to consecrate to God the first movements of our mind and spirit so that we do not undertake anything before being refreshed with the thought of God”.

MEDITATION

Our “daily encounter with the “sublime knowledge of Christ” (Phil 3:8) privileges listening to the Word of God as a loving consideration of His Mystery.” (RV 19)

HOLY MASS

“The Eucharistic celebration, possibly daily, is the center of our life and of every day, it increases fraternal charity and intimate confidence with the Father.” (cf. RV 14)

HOLY ROSARY

“The daily prayer of the Holy Rosary promotes meditation on the mysteries of the Lord’s life, contemplated through the Heart of Mary.” (Dir 21.1)

ADORATION

"We spend half an hour every day in adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, with a particular spirit of reparation. It is a typical expression of our being called and consecrated "for the triumph of the merciful Love of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus" (cf. Dir 15.2)

VESPERS

With the evening prayer, as the day now declines, we raise with the Church our thanks to the Lord for what He has given us and what we have had the opportunity to achieve during the day.

SPIRITUAL READING

A suitable time to deepen the knowledge of God (e.g. Magisterium, lives of the saints, ...) and increase friendship with Him is spiritual reading.

COMPLINE

With the last part of the “liturgy of the hours” we entrust our rest to the Lord with the words of the short responsory: “Lord, into your hands I commend my spirit”.
